Why is OCD awareness important?
The experience of OCD is incredibly isolating. Outside of the sufferers themselves, very few people understand how this disorder feels, and it makes those with it feel separated from their family or friends, alone in a prison of their mind. We aim to show kids not only that they are in good company, but also that there are effective ways to manage OCD. It does not have to swallow your life.
